1/1/10

Really it's 1:33 am on 1/2/09 (the time stamp on my blog is wrong and I don't know how to change it), but we are finally back home, unpacked, settled in, woodburner going, and I just now have a minute alone with my computer. And though I'm a few minutes late, I wanted to wish everyone a wonderful and happy new year! I know I had the best time I've ever had welcoming in this new year, and I hope that it's an omen of good things to come. I pray that a year that starts well will also end well!
Last night we had a blast at Syd and Spencer's wedding at the Hilton in Columbus! It was a wonderful group of people, there was delicious food, great music, fun dancing, and plenty of tasty beverages to go around. I wish they would get married every year on NYE! :) Chad and I spent the night at the Hilton as well - it was the first night we've both been away from Miss Haley-bug! And while we were partying it up at the hotel, Haley was 'drinking champagne' (see picture) with Mimi, Grandma, Aunt Kelly, and Grandpoppy! I thought she was a little young but I guess Grandma knows best! ;) They say she was a good little girl for them which I was happy to hear. And though I missed her while we were gone, it was kind of nice to miss her and then get to be thrilled to see her and get my hands on her again. It reminded me yet again how snuggly, squeezable, wonderful, and good-smelling she is! I just want to kiss her till she gets cheek rot and then wrap her up in a giant bear hug. She's sleeping now, cozy by the fire and unsuspecting of how much so many people adore her. I hope that this is her year - that every year from now on only brings good things for her and that she keeps growing stronger, bigger, and healthier every day. She's our little love-bug, and all we need to make this year wonderful is to have her in it! She's a good girl.
