Our Little Bookworm

Dylan & Grandpa reading rock climbing magazines together on the couch today. :)

"Look how big I am, Mommy! I can sit up so well now, AND I can read magazines! Reading is code for "chewing on", right??"

"Rock climbing magazines taste pretty good, but I think I'd be more into that Horse magazine over on the counter..."

"Alright... rock climbing for now, until we build our new house and can keep my pony in our backyard on Grandma & Grandpa's pastures..."

Today was a fun and busy day. Dyl, Grandpa, & I met Jessie Bazell from the Health Department out on the 2 acre plot we want to buy from Mom & Dad, so she could tell us where the test hole would need to be dug for a potential septic system. Then we had lunch with Grandpa at their house, and Grandma arrived home from work pretty much right when we were done. (There was a brief interlude for horse ogling on the internet - there was the cutest grulla filly for sale! And a gorgeous halflinger gelding. *sigh* Too soon!) After Grandma & Grandpa took naps, we all went for a long walk around the 'block'. It turned into an even longer walk because we lost Bianca along the way and had to back track to make sure she hadn't adopted some new family at one of the cabins that might've been conned into feeding her hotdogs. When we got back from our walk, Dyl & I headed home and had a tasty dinner with Daddy while Dyl jumped like crazy in her horse again. She was quite the happy critter all day today, which was just lovely!

  1. Dylan will have to come see Kera and go riding with her on Showtime. I do not think she is up to Missy yet even if Grandpa likes Missy.
